Held at URUS headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, from Jan. 6-10, students connected with professionals to gain real-world consulting experience while learning from world-class experts for this all-expenses-paid experience. 

Outgoing Dairy Business Association (DBA) President Lee Kinnard welcomed more than 400 people to the Dairy Strong conference on Jan. 16 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The conference featured two keynote presentations and multiple breakout sessions focused on a broad range of topics from sustainability to policy.

Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) Executive Director Shelly Mayer set the tone for an engaging three days when she stated, “You can’t have a winning team with a losing mindset.”

At the recent Tri-State Dairy Nutrition Field Day hosted by the Tri-State Dairy Nutrition Conference and allied industries, this topic took center stage. Speakers from various industry partners and academic institutions highlighted the promise and potential of technology in dairy farming.

In a room filled with dairy producers, processors and customers, farmer Mitch Breunig looked around and announced, “I’m really impressed with how many people care about sustainability. … Everyone is this room is here because of the dairy cow, and improving the dairy cow is going to be the path to make this sustainability journey come together.” 

The Dairy Girl Network (DGN) celebrated its 10th anniversary at its biennial Forward TogetHER National Conference, Nov. 5-7, in Kansas City, Missouri. Dairywomen, and a few men, from across the industry gathered to connect, inspire and acheive through networking, interactive sessions and thought-provoking presentations.
