What do you get when two passionate dairy professionals decide that college students deserve a broader view of the dairy industry, an opportunity to connect the dots from farm to factory and to begin building their professional network all while keeping animal welfare and a healthy planet top of mind? Dairypalooza!

The Hoof Trimmers Association (HTA) holds a Hoof Health Conference every 18 months. To ensure distinct parts of North America are represented, they hold these meetings at various locations. This year's conference was Feb. 22-24 in Orlando, Florida.

Agricultural producers, enthusiasts and industry experts made their way over (or through) the snowy Sierra Nevadas to sunny Tulare, California, for the annual World Ag Expo Feb. 13-15.

During a week that will be remembered for its frigid below-zero temperatures and added weather complications on the farm, more than 450 farmers and allied industry professionals traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for the Dairy Strong Conference, held Jan. 16-18, 2024.

While tugboats and barges drove up and down the Mississippi River, the 2024 PDPW Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals convened on the banks in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jan. 9-11.

Held Nov. 29-30, this year’s event focused on the past 20 years of dairy. The first day included two farm tours and a welcome dinner, while the second day featured formal presentations on topics ranging from precision feeding and on-farm technology to the evolving carbon credit and dairy markets.

The Global Dairy Experience was back in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dec. 5-7, 2023, for thought-provoking presentations, discussions and networking opportunities.

The Washington Dairy Conference, held Dec. 4-6 in Chehalis, Washington, featured hot topics facing the state’s dairy industry, a chance to meet with state agricultural leaders, and ample networking time for attendees and trade show exhibitors.
