Lizer has 31 years of seed industry experience, 16 of which were spent with Kruger Seeds of Dike. As general manager for Kruger, he Increased market share of hybrid corn and soybeans year-over-year plus reorganized its logistics team. As marketing director, he successfully rebranded the company. As sales manager, he was responsible for managing and developing a sales force that included 32 DSMs and 3 RSMs.

“From serving as a direct seed seller to managing production and inventory, Tom has a broad range of first-hand experience within an independent seed business,” says John Latham. “We believe his years of experience make him a good fit as we continue to grow our workforce while also increasing Latham’s brand presence in the marketplace.”

In addition to being active in the seed business, Lizer is involved with his community. He just finished his term as president of the Dike – New Hartford School Board and has served as scoutmaster. He was ordained as a minister in 1979 and is still active in that office. He and his wife of 36 years, Deb, are the parents of seven children.
