The kit includes all necessary hardware and load cells to place under an existing group weighing platform. It also comes with a StockWeigh 600 Digital Indicator.
The SW600 is an efficient model indicator to use with 7,000-pound load cells or heavier, according to the company. It can be used to export weight, date and time data via a serial port to a printer or third-party software programs.
Producers can also use this kit to complete their own homemade platform/group scale.
"For a self-designed platform,” Raupp said, “the ideal structure is rigid to minimize deflection, and load cell mounts are placed near the perimeter of platform base."
Like all of the company’s products, this kit of load cells, hardware mounts and indicator are designed to withstand high weight capacities and outdoor agriculture environments.
