Dairy farmers who need extra power when loading and lifting materials will be impressed by the loader arm and coupler that creates a near-parallel lifting path which improves load-carrying ability compared to previous John Deere wheel loader models. When equipped with a quick coupler and bucket, full-turn tipping load on the 344L High-Lift is 10,362 pounds (4,700 kilograms), allowing operators to confidently lift heavier masses overhead. 344L High-Lift operators can access a smoother and more-leveled load from the ground to truck-bed to full height with minimal adjustments.
The 344L boasts 103 horsepower (76 kW) of maximum peak power and a redesigned engine compartment and cooling package that helps maximize airflow and reduce the amount of debris entering the engine system.
Inside the cab, the 344L High-Lift option offers improved maneuverability by including a convenient one-hand control option. Both boom and buckets, Forward-Neutral-Reverse (F-N-R), and the differential lock are controlled by the same low-effort joystick. In addition, operators also have increased visibility with a wider windshield so they can get a better view of what they are lifting or moving, as well as see other individuals, animals or equipment that may be close by. Finally, there is an option heated air-ride high-back seat and more general space in the cab for increased comfort.
