A veterinarian…an agricultural engineer…a biochemist. These are just some of the careers mapped out by the winners of the 2010 Agricultural Education Scholarship. Foremost Farms USA has awarded 10 scholarships to the children of dairy producer member-owners. Five graduating high school seniors and five college students have each been awarded $2,000 scholarships to put toward their educations. The scholarships are funded by the Foremost Farms USA Charitable Foundation. The winners are highlighted below.
Four dairy producers and 29 dairy employees attended the annual Dairy Herdsman Short Course, held April 27-29, 2010 at the University of California-Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching and Research Center.

Apple cider is about to become New Hampshire's state drink. The state Senate on Wednesday approved by a voice vote a proposal to designate apple cider as New Hampshire's drink after it
won out over milk in the House.
A lawmaker introduced the bill after Jaffrey Grade School students contacted her. Later, Gilford Elementary School students lobbied for milk. Milk fans pointed out it is important to the
state too.
A number of Jaffrey students were in the gallery when the vote took place. Now the bill is headed to Gov. John Lynch for his signature.
