In addition to other celebratory activities, the National Dairy Shrine is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024 by doubling down on fundraising efforts with Campaign75 to provide more scholarships, expand their leader recognition program and make investments in their museum. With a mission to inspire youth, recognize dairy leaders and preserve dairy’s history, the organization is open to anyone who is passionate about the dairy industry and currently includes more than 20,000 members.

More than 1,700 dairy scientists and industry professionals from across North America and around the globe representing 42 countries convened in West Palm Beach for the 2024 American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) annual meeting.

It’s long been said that the dairy industry is built on relationships. For more than 25 years, university, technical school and short course students have gotten an early start on building relationships for their careers through the Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) Mentor Program.

Since the late 1800s, South Dakota State University (SDSU) has played a pivotal role in the advancement of dairy farming, and it would be remiss not to mention the thousands of undergraduate students who have gone on to develop a career as dairy producers or industry allies along the I-29 Corridor and across the nation.
