More than half of U.S. dairy producers do not support NMPF’s decision to phase out tail docking earlier than previously planned.

From December 2015 to March 2016, Progressive Dairyman asked its readers if they supported or did not support National Milk Producers Federation’s (NMPF) decision to phase out tail docking as an approved industry practice beginning in 2017 instead of 2022 as originally planned. More than 744 readers responded to the poll online or over the phone. Results of the poll are shown in the graphic below.  PD
