5 pasos importantes en el manejo del ensilaje

5 important silage management steps

Corn silage is commonly fed to beef cattle across the country. More than 100 million tons of corn silage is produced in the U.S. each year. Unfortunately a large percentage of this silage is lost and never gets fed to cattle. This loss is called “shrink” and is measured by subtracting the total tons of silage fed from the total tonnage put up or ensiled. To reduce the amount of silage lost in bunker silos and drive-over piles, it’s important to follow these five steps.
