Chad Wethal Madison, Wisconsin Marketing Associate Filament Marketing

Please describe your agricultural background.
I grew up on my family’s 70-cow registered Holstein herd. Growing up, I was very involved in showing and judging dairy cattle in addition to being an active member of the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association and FFA.

What are your new responsibilities?
I work with the Filament Marketing team in executing marketing initiatives for our clients.

What previous positions have you held?
After graduation, I worked for the American Jersey Cattle Association until 2007 as a type traits appraiser and the area representative covering the greater Ohio region. From 2007-2010, I returned to our home farm, where I managed the marketing and genetic initiatives for the operation.

I joined ABS Global in 2010, where I served various roles as the team lead for marketing and communications initiatives for the Genetic Management System, ABS Uddercare and ABS Technical Services.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and applying my experiences working within the agricultural industry towards assisting companies with their agri-marketing efforts.

How will your work in your new role benefit dairy producers?
The clients that we work with are leaders in their respective industries. As their partner, we are in the front line of promoting and educating customers on products that aim to boost productivity and increase a dairyman’s bottom line.
