What education are you bringing with you to this position?
After being involved on our family’s dairy operation, I obtained my B.S. and M.S. in animal science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I then obtained a Ph.D. in nutritional science from the University of Arizona.

I’m a member of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists and board certified in animal nutrition by the American College of Animal Sciences.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I was in partnership on my family’s dairy farm located in the Central Valley of California. In my previous position, I consulted with dairy producers on various dairy management topics and conducted research addressing dairy producer needs.

What territory will you cover?
Predominantly California’s Central Valley.

What are your new responsibilities?
As ruminants technical sales manager, my duties include assisting in the growth of the global ruminant market.

What previous positions have you held?
I was a dairy farm advisor for the University of California Cooperative Extension Service covering Fresno and Madera counties. I also provided consultation services to feed-related companies.

What excites you the most about working in your new role?
After being in academia for years, I am excited to convey my scientific and applied knowledge in helping promote the application of a new technology in trace mineral nutrition for the ruminant animal.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I can explain the benefits and cost savings of our products to the dairy consultant or feed manufacturer to help improve their client’s bottom line and also achieve peak performance of their dairy herds.

Why did you choose this company?
I was impressed with the technology that Micronutrients offers the dairy consultant or premix manufacturer with regards to trace mineral nutrition for dairy herds. I wanted to join a company that would become a leader in providing cost effective and highly bioavailable products.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I would like to continue having great working relationships with independent consultants, feed manufacturers, and other people who support the dairy producer. PD
