Poll: Ranchers buy bulls by private treaty

Progressive Cattle asked, "How do you buy bulls?"

The majority of responders (47.7%) said they buy bulls through private treaty.

The second-largest segment (28.4%) indicated they prefer to buy bulls at a production sale.

About 21% of responders raise their own bulls, with the smallest segment, 2.8% purchase bulls via video auction.
