DeLaval announced Lactisan and Lactisan Winter on Sept. 23, two new lactic-acid-based products in the company's line of non-iodine udder care products.

Lactisan is formulated for year-round use as both a pre and post teat dip. Lactisan Winter is a post dip designed for adverse weather and the North American winter. The products combine lactic acid with proprietary surfactants to help eliminate mastitis bacteria. They can be dipped or sprayed.

The teat dips include moisturizers to keep teat skin hydrated and soft. Lactisan contains 5 percent sorbitol, and Lactisan Winter contains 50 percent fast-drying emollients to provide improved protection during extreme temperatures.

Visitors to the 2014 World Dairy Expo can obtain a free trial size from booth #3011-3315 in the Exhibition Hall, while supplies last. PD
