A collaborative research and extension team, which includes faculty from Washington State University, University of Idaho, USDA-ARS, University of Florida and the University of Missouri, will be offering a dairy cattle genomics workshop Sept. 29 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Topics to be discussed include: “Introduction to Genomics and Fertility,” “What Dairy Producers said about Genomics: Survey and Focus Group Update,” “Status of Research on Genomics and Fertility” and “Where do we go from here — and when will we get there?”

Who should attend? Dairy producers and managers, veterinarians, allied industry and extension faculty. Experience with genomics is not required.

The workshop is free and will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden Hotel Madison Fitchburg, 2969 Cahill Main, Fitchburg, Wisconsin, 53711.
