Animal Profiling International (API) has announced the launch of EasyPreg, a milk-based pregnancy testing service intended to make reproductive programs as efficient as possible. The test is designed to provide quick and accurate results, detecting pregnancy in cattle as early as 35 days post-insemination without invasive palpation or ultrasound.

Because the test is milk-based, there are minimal impositions on the animals and no feed or comfort disruptions. Additionally, the company points out that testing provides producers and operators further flexibility by allowing them to test for pregnancy on their own schedules.

EasyPreg is the latest addition to API's list of BVD and pregnancy tests, which includes the blood-based pregnancy test EarlyPreg28. Click here to read Progressive Dairyman's previous post about EarlyPreg28. PD
