There is no better way to appreciate the delicious simplicity of dairy foods than experiencing a traditional breakfast on a Wisconsin dairy farm. Every June, dairy farmers throughout Wisconsin open their farms to the community and serve a big breakfast in celebration of June Dairy Month. It is an exciting opportunity to spend some time on a working dairy farm and get a firsthand look at what makes Wisconsin’s signature industry so special – all while enjoying a hearty, homemade breakfast.

This year, more than 35 farms across Wisconsin will welcome the public, serving up a tasty breakfast spread that often includes eggs, pancakes, cheese, ham and ice cream, and much more. An interactive locator map found at TheDairyDifference.com allows users to search for farm breakfasts in their areas. The map is searchable by county and date for information about breakfasts and locations.

This June Dairy Month, the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB) is celebrating real dairy products with its Taste the Dairy Difference campaign. The campaign includes a collection of 12 new recipes, six of which are included in a free recipe brochure available in Taste the Dairy Difference displays at dairy breakfasts and participating supermarkets across Wisconsin. All 12 recipes are available at TheDairyDifference.com.

While you make plans to attend a dairy breakfast in your area, try one of these quick and easy recipes for a taste of dairy at home:
