Vets Plus Inc. has awarded Hawk High Dairy in Norwalk, Wisconsin, a $500 prize toward milking services. The global animal health company selected Hawk High Dairy as the winner of a drawing held for booth visitors at World Dairy Expo in October.

Andi Rynes, co-manager of Hawk High Dairy, was thrilled to accept the $500 prize on behalf of her 20-year-old family dairy. Hawk High Dairy milks 500 cows, with a total herd of about 1,200. Rynes spoke with pride of her operation, particularly the calves. She said she works hard to keep the calves healthy from the start. Rynes hopes to use her winnings toward a vacation from the farm with her family.

Rynes looks forward to World Dairy Expo every year as an opportunity to see what is new in the industry. Raj Lall, founder, president and CEO of Vets Plus, said it’s meeting producers like Rynes who make the experience invaluable for the company.

This is the second year the company has sponsored the “We’ll Milk Your Cows for a Weekend” drawing at World Dairy Expo.

Cherie Grandt, director of marketing said, “The drawing is just one way of showing our thanks to our loyal customers and those who are stopping by for the first time to learn about what we do. We have a lot of fun meeting producers at our booth, and we want to say thank you.” PD
