What are your new responsibilities?
Visit farms to educate them about the company’s cool cow comfort system, which provides an optimal environment for the cows, nearly year round. I will visit farms and evaluate their current airflow and cooling; then I’ll make recommendations to improve their system and improve cows’ performance. I will also work with builders and design managers to lay out these systems into their freestall barn and holding area designs.

What previous positions have you held?
Sales rep for FS Co-op, feed and animal health, calf confinement buildings; district marketing rep for Cenex, feed and animal health; national sales manager for Humane Manufacturing; and product consultant for Accelerated Genetics, calf care and housing.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I enjoy working directly with dairy farmers. I will be conducting farm visits that focus on improving cow comfort with proper cooling over several months of the year. We will look at optimal conditions for providing a comfortable environment in the barn. CowKühlerZ’s benefit to producers is peace of mind that their cows are not stressed due to the temperature. I look forward to networking with former customers and other agriculture industry acquaintances, farm managers, project managers, contractors, university engineering departments, veterinarians, power equipment companies and power equipment agriculture reps.
