In an online poll, Progressive Forage Grower asked, “Will you or have you used a dealership winter-maintenance program this winter?”
In a combined vote, the majority (87 percent) said they did not use a winter-maintenance program. Thirty-three percent said their budget was too tight, and 54 percent said they prefer to do their own mechanic work.
However, there were a few who opted to use a winter-maintenance program. Two percent said, “Yes, I'd rather cut my little finger off than do mechanical work.” Another 11 percent said, “Yes, it's a good deal and saves me money in the long run.” FG
