AEM’s growing e-book library also includes a safety manual for agricultural sprayers. The association plans to offer safety e-books for all of its safety manuals to meet evolving user trends.

“Mobile devices are rapidly increasing in use and capabilities,” said Larry Buzecky, AEM director, safety materials.

“It just makes sense to convert our safety manuals to e-book format, to ensure we reach the greatest number of industry professionals possible in the ways that best meets their needs.”

AEM initiated development of its safety e-books in response to industry requests. They are not meant to replace print but to provide another avenue to reach equipment operators and others in order to help them practice safety.

All AEM safety e-books feature user-friendly options such as variable type, bookmarks, the ability to embed and e-mail notes, content searching and a low-light reading format.

With the e-book format, AEM can also more easily distribute safety information globally to further extend the reach of its safety messaging.

AEM safety e-books are available on Apple’s iBookstore. AEM plans to expand into other e-book formats, to increase availability across all platforms.

All association manuals, videos and related safety and training products are available online through the AEM store. Some safety materials are offered in other downloadable formats or as DVDs.  FG
