ASV smooth CTL turf tracks outperform treaded tracks in certain conditions

ASV Holdings Inc, an industry-leading manufacturer of all-purpose and all-season compact track loaders and skid steers, offers smooth turf tracks for minimized damage to soft, delicate surfaces. With a combination of greater ground surface area and the benefits of ASV’s Posi-Track undercarriage, the turf tracks can achieve equal or better traction than treaded tracks on dry surfaces. As one of the only completely smooth tracks on the market, ASV turf tracks can be trusted to minimize damage to topsoil and root systems, allowing for faster job completion in landscape, hardscape and golf course applications.

ASV’s distinctive green turf tracks have a completely smooth design and are manufactured from a specialized blend that resists cracking, provides traction and maximizes overall life. The rubber tracks eliminate rusting and corrosion because they contain no steel cords. Additionally, durability is maximized through seven layers of embedded puncture-, cut- and stretch-resistant material. These turf tracks are available for the RT-25, RT-40, RT-50, RT-65 and VT-70 High-Output models.

ASV turf tracks amplify the effects of ASV’s patented Posi-Track undercarriage. Posi-Track features include flexible tracks, several ground contact points and an open-rail undercarriage that contribute to longer component wear life, even ground distribution, more track on the ground and a virtually eliminated risk of derailment. Turf tracks take that to the next level with the elimination of treads, providing maximum ground contact and achieving traction on dry surfaces comparable to or better than machines with treads.

ASV turf tracks are backed by the company’s industry-leading 2-year/2,000-hour warranty. The warranty covers tracks for the entire period and includes the industry’s first and only no-derailment guarantee on new machines.

Bobcat introduces all-new TL723 and TL923 telehandlers

A go-to favorite for agriculture, construction, landscaping, snow removal and many other applications, the all-new TL723 and TL923 telehandlers from Bobcat give operators the flexibility to accomplish a variety of demanding tasks with superior precision and performance. These newest models, in addition to the TL619 launched in 2021, round out the R-Series telehandler lineup.

Featuring redesigned comfort cabs, turbo-charged Tier 4 engines and easy-to-access service points, the machines combine power and nimbleness to create a lifting, stacking, backfilling and reaching machine matched for the toughest jobs.

Exceptional performance and productivity built throughout

The TL923 hydraulic system is designed for faster boom speeds and heavier lifting, providing operators with smoother handling and control when loaded and faster boom cycle times when empty. The patented hydraulic lift system provides advanced high-flow technology to optimize lift capabilities while providing high-speed movement. Thanks to the TL923’s heavy-duty drivetrain, operators will enjoy more durability and confidence on the toughest jobs.

Both the TL723 at 100HP and the TL923 at 135HP come equipped with a state-of-the-art advanced Bobcat Tier 4 turbo-charged engine delivering powerful, high-torque performance and excellent efficiency. Operators will also appreciate the new engine’s reliable cold-weather starting and a variety of features that make maintenance and service more convenient. The units are also equipped with automatic ride control, which reduces materials pillage and enables operators to travel at faster speeds for increased productivity.

Five operation modes give operators the versatility needed for a wide variety of applications:

  • ECO mode allows the operator to maintain hydraulic performance without using the engine’s full power – working with lower rpm, less noise and lower fuel consumption.
  • Smooth drive mode is ideal for maneuvering across jobsites with mild acceleration and deceleration while carrying loads.
  • Dynamic drive mode increases responsiveness of the telehandler’s acceleration and deceleration for traveling between tasks.
  • Flex drive mode allows the operator to manage the engine speed independently from travel speed.
  • Advanced attachment control mode allows for full auxiliary hydraulic performance.

Unbeatable uptime, serviceability and versatility

Bobcat R-Series telehandlers are built with a robust box-welded frame for enhanced rigidity, plus a low center of gravity for optimal stability. The shielded bottom plate protects vital components, and the engine, cooling system and critical components are well protected within the center of the chassis, ensuring minimal wear and tear due to jobsite obstacles or harsh terrain.

Engine compartment accessibility puts routine maintenance checks, filters and other engine components in easy reach, as well as the oil filter and other service points.

Thanks to the Power Quick-Tach mounting system on the TL723 and TL923, operators can push a button to retract pins and release to quickly secure an attachment, allowing for non-hydraulic attachment changes without ever leaving the cab. Case IH upgrades its RB 344 fixed chamber round baler

The upgraded Case IH RB 344 fixed chamber round baler adds a host of innovative design and performance features to the best elements of the previous model. Offering excellent value for money, this compact and maneuverable newcomer handles all baling tasks with ease so that the farmer only needs one machine.

The most obvious design feature of the RB 344 is its modern side shield, which incorporates a robust metal frame, top hinges and gas strut supports. Opening wide for easy access for service and maintenance, it also protects spare rolls of net wrap stored on the machine. Rubber bumpers on both sides of the tailgate’s frame ensure that it closes smoothly and quietly, while the wiring harness now runs inside the bull bar, and front lights have been repositioned for a robust, professional appearance.

Behind its attractive new paneling the RB 344 introduces a host of mechanical improvements that enhance performance and durability while reducing operating costs. The stripper roll, bale chamber, floor roll and pick-up, for example, are now driven by high-quality drive chains with chromized pins and hardened plates that have a longer life cycle and reduce maintenance costs. The bearings that support the main drive, stripper roll and drive-side rotor have also been upgraded with highly efficient seals that prevent dust contamination.

Equipped with closely spaced steel tines and long pick-up guards, painted red to make them more visible, the 2-meter pick-up collects the crop and delivers it in a smooth, continuous flow to the feeder and bale chamber. This maximizes intake capacity so even heavy swaths can be handled without losses, while the duckbill feeding system ensures a reliable net start in all crop conditions. A precise density control system ensures that bales are formed to the exact specifications that have been set, which can be adjusted or monitored from the tractor seat.

Operators have an excellent view across the full width of the pick-up, which helps to maximize crop gathering and maintain bale shape. The design of the RB 344 also ensures that bales are correctly formed and uniformly wrapped right to the edges whether the crop is wet, wilted or dry, so that all their nutritional value and storage potential is retained. Regardless of whether net, plastic film or twine is used for wrapping, cutting is fast and automatic, leaving the bale ready for immediate ejection.

A further aid to reliable high performance is the well-proven Case IH hydraulic rotor reverser, a factory fit option for the rotor feeder model. This uses a free-run clutch, which allows the operator to quickly and easily reverse the rotor to clear a blockage without leaving the cab.

The versatility of the RB 344 is further improved by the rotor cutter with 15 electrically selected knives that ensure the crop is cut evenly, improving the quality of baled material and cutting crop losses. Another feature is the slat-chain chamber system, which ensures a positive start to bale formation under all crop conditions, saving time and producing well-shaped bales.
